We have an existing website (HTML5) that we would like to convert to a hosted Windows 8 web app so that users would download the webapp from a url and then be able to view it offline. We do not want to place this app on the Windows app store
We have experience in this type of project for Apple devices but would like some guidance and support from an experience Windows web app developer to help us set this up and create the download functionality.
Please provide
- previous example of web apps you have created outside of the Windows app store
- Overview of how you would approach the project
I have 2 years experience build apps for Windows/Windows Phone using C#.NET with 20+ app and millions of downloads total
Windows 8.1 has HTML5 Project template, so we need to download whole offline website and put it on app.
Please inbox and we will discuss more
I'm currently working as a Design and Development Intern at Microsoft and .NET technologies are right up my sleeve.
I am very much interested in this project as I have developed websites (ASP.NET) and Windows (Phone 8.1 + Desktop + 10) applications and some of them have been published while some have been worked on as personal projects.
Windows 8 has Metro apps that are normally downloaded from the Store and are different from the x86 apps (the normal .EXE apps) which can't be published to the Store.
My question is: Do you want a Modern (Universal) App or the classic (.exe) windows app?
