This project is for proof of concept implementation of a game based on Conway's game of life. There are many examples of the Game of Life online.
For this project, user should be able to select number of "players" (1 to 4) where each player will be assigned a colour and randomly placed on a screen grid. At each refresh (1 second) a cell can multiply or die and if it multiplies, it can multiply into one of 8 directions around the cell.
Cell will die if there are no other cells of same colour around it (starvation) or if 3 or more cells of a different colour are directly around it (overcrowding)
Cell will otherwise multiply randomly into one of the available empty spots on the grid around it.
Now comes the tricky part at each step, we should be able to calculate and see on the screen chances for victory for each colour (victory = being the only remaining colour on the screen)
Quality of graphics does not matter. Implementation and execution is the only thing that matters.
There is a hard deadline of 2 days.
