We use SolidWorks simulation and a FEA package called Midas NFX. We also use XFlow for CFD is this is of interest. All our software is fully licensed for commercial work. Are these packages acceptable? Midas NFX in particular provides good solutions to the same NAFEMS benchmark problems that ANSYS and ABAQUS use for QA. Our engineers have 10 years plus experience in FEA and are all NAFEMS registered Professional Simulation Engineers.
