A bit about what I have done before: I have experience of programming with python. I have used it mainly for tedious tasks like number crunching or importing/exporting data. I programmed an interface in 2015 for a school to handle (read/write/modify) student data, and that was a success. I am an incredibly quick learner. I can do anything, just need a bit of time to research. I don't know everything, but I know just where to look. How I plan on completing this project + timescales: I will spend 1 - 2 days understanding the requirements, playing around with some code, plan subroutines and training. A further 2 - 3 days will be spent delivering on the project and making sure everything is correctly formatted, neat and to requirement. As such I will have completed the project within 3 - 5 days.

I finished my master’s in Computer Science at SFU a few months ago. I have done several projects in Python. Most importantly, it is my master’s project, the project that I defended my thesis on, and I will present a paper on it next month. It is a computational framework for clustering bacteria based on their sequencing data. Also, I’ve done a 6-month internship at Oracle labs in R&D team in Vancouver working with Python. Aside from those experiences, I come from a software engineering background. My undergraduate major was software engineering. I worked as a software developer for more than 2 years in game companies back in Iran. So, I feel confident about my problem-solving and programming skills, especially with Python.
