data from one database into another with cronjob

I take data from url from a database, and it get inserted into another one, i either need to get that done often, so my database is updated often with recent data, i dont know how? cronjob probably, i use it but not for this..can someone help?

Hi, If you use linux os cronjob is an option but you need a shell script to do job also. Cronjobs is a feature to execute the task periodically. So you need a task script and i can write it for you. If you use windows it gets more complicated but there are some options. Please contact me for the details.

Hi, If we are talking about two different machines, the recommended solution will not be using a cronjob. You need to set-up a master-slave replication. If your database is MySQL, I definitely can setup a master-slave replication for you on two different machine in less than 2 days. Otherwise I can setup a cronjob for you to keep repeating dropping a MySQL database and creating it again with the new data.
