Online 2D (Plate) Cutting Optimizer Software

Cutter Optimizer - bid request Our customer wants online 2d (plate) Cutting Optimizer Software. Preferred environment: • Php • Mysql database The Php code should be commented (using English language). Price matters so our customer requests to send this bid request to at least 5 software developing companies. Cutting Optimizer specification The web-based software should be able to do the following: • Warehouse materials handling (The number of the full sized and already cut plates in the stock) • Handling the leftover cut items (These should be saved by the software so they can be used later) • Handling the width of the cut • Showing the leading (main) cut • 90° rotated samples The user specifies which samples he wants to cut. For example: 1. 500*800 rectangle, 10 pieces (grain line direction: horizontal) 2. 300*700 rectangle, 5 pieces (grain line direction: horizontal) 3. 800*700 rectangle, 2 pieces (grain line direction: vertical) The materials available (from which the samples can be cut): 1. 1000*2000 10 pieces (grain line direction: vertical) 2. 2000*1500 7 pieces (grain line direction: horizontal) There are pre-defined sizes but the user can also specify it. == The software should be aware of the cutting width. For example, this can be 4mm thickness, so it should calculate that there would be a 4mm cutting waste between the two materials. When placing the samples the software needs to deal with the fact that the material can be rotated with 90 ° angle, so it may return different results. Furthermore, it needs to pay attention to the grain line direction of cutting ( if the user checks the corresponding checkbox). It needs to check that with one or more cuts, the result would be better if you have little amount of waste or the waste is big enough to use later for another cut.
