Firefox Addon/Extension with API requests

We need someone to develop a Firefox plugin for us. On some pages (defined by regex) the addon should query a url, parse the returning XML and write it to the page. ## Deliverables We need someone to develop a Firefox addon for us. For details on developing Firefox addons please see [login to view URL] Process flow: - The addon monitors the urls the browser is loading. If the URL does not match any one of a set of certain regaulr expression, the addon is quite. - If the URL matches one of these URLs, the browser parses a bit of information from the page. We will provide the regex to do this. - Using the result from the regex, the addon calls a URL which returns XML. - The results from this URL call need to be inserted in the page at a certain point, defined by us. General requirements - The addon needs to meet the Firefox guidelines for addons enabling us to list it under [login to view URL] - We need to be able to update the plugin programmatically using the Mozilla update mechanisms (important!) - The addon must be cleanly uninstallable - The code must be well-structured and reasonably documented - The code must be able to handle url api failures gracefully and not throw errors.
