Windows Media Player Plug-in (DLL)

Hello, I require a windows media player (WMP) plug-in for windows media 9 and above. The dll once registered should check when a content download is starting and at pre-determined interval it should write out the performance stats for the file that is playing. The details can be written to a text file every N seconds. The program needs to read the performance stats provided internally by windows media and output the following :- file name and protocol ie : rtp://[login to view URL] transfer-rate : 13.1 KB/S frame-rate, i.e : 14 FPS dropped frames so far i.e : 1 lost packets: i.e : 5 total packets : i.e 3000 and so on .. We can discuss the exact fields later. The program should be as small as possible, well-documented and use good oop practices. It should be in Visual C++ (ideally v6) I´d like a working version fairly quickly to review.
