Read more about how to create NewsGroup ASP.NET Server controls at: <[login to view URL]> The **DotNetNuke ASP.NET NewsGroup Server Control** will connect to any NewsGroup server at intervals and download all content or all new content to a database. The DotNetNuke ASP.NET NewsGroup Server Control will read the server name and save it to a database table. It will retrieve all the newsgroups for the server name and save it in a database table. For each newsgroup, the DotNetNuke ASP.NET NewsGroup Server Control should retrieve all the articles in the newsgroup and store them in another database table (all old articles and all new articles.) The first time it is connects or polls the server, it should retrieve all old articles and after that it should connect periodically and only retrieve new articles. It should display all the Newsgroup Names using ASP.NET Repeaters as hyperlinks (NOT POSTBACKS) on one view page (<[login to view URL]>) Each Newsgroup displayed should retrieve a list of articles when clicked on a different page or view (<[login to view URL]>) Each article should display Subject, From and Date using Paging and the column headers should be sortable in ascending and descending order (The paging links should link to the next page of 100 articles using hyperlinks only) ## Deliverables **1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. ** 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) Deliverable must be available as a DotNetNuke Private Assembly and ready-to-run condition in a DotNetNuke Portal. b) The installation should be a standard DotNetNuke upload and install assembly. (This assembly must be installable using DotNetNuke File Manager to upload and decompress the files and then running the Add New Module command : c)Stored procedures must be used for all data access, no dynamic sql statements. The **DotNetNuke ASP.NET NewsGroup Server Control** Module must be installable using an automated installation mechanism. In order to use this feature, all the associated module files must first be zipped and uploaded to the web server using the Host / File Manager option. Files can be uploaded individually or as a single compressed library package ( *.zip ). An installation script ( *.dnn ) must be included with the module files you wish to install.) 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4.) All source code, copyright and distribution rights must be owned by me when the module is completed and paid for. ## Platform DotNetNuke 1.10X and DotNetNuke 2.X, ASP.NET, .NET Framework Version 1.0375, VB.NET or C# only.
