We need an automatic process to read through OCR a large amount of grocery receipts per day (+500) and generate text. Below are a few steps. Step 1: Use OCR to read grocery receipt and translate it to text Step 2: Create text file in a format where we can see in the same row ITEM DESCRIPTION, CODE (if available), WEIGHT (if available), and PRICE for each of the grocery items Step 3: Create a script that matches ITEM Description in grocery receipt to ITEM description in a reference store database. Item description could not be exact, but need the closest possible match. Example tomato tomato tasty vs tomato.

Hi, i have implemented OCR for number plate recognition and match it to the database to find the owner of wrongly parked vehicle. Well i have the current experience in image processing: Driver fatigue detection using raspberry pi which in a matter of milli seconds determines if the driver is sleeping or not and alarm accordingly using OpenCV, Vehicle counting in the particular category they belong to on a high speed road, number plate recognition using OCR algorithm of openCV, face detection and recognition for attendance system of a school and patient management system of a medical system. In short i have all the experience needed to complete the project with maximum accuracy. I will be waiting for your kind response.
