We need two updates to the CFR scraper: 1. The CFR scraper is no longer recognizing the regulation number, so it is saving every file as just [login to view URL], or [login to view URL], and dropping the regulation number. It should be [login to view URL] or [login to view URL], etc. Most likely a simple fix, but the program is useless without the fix. use the starting url for your example: [login to view URL] 2. We need the program reworked, so all of the reference databases, or search and replace files are outside of the .exe file, so they can be adjusted as needed, such as when we get a change to the file structure (as is happening today) 3. We require the source code for the completed project Project must be completed within 10 days

Hi, I noticed that you would like the entire program reworking - do you absolutely require an executable, or would you be happy with a perl/php (scipted) solution? I believe I'd be able to fix your existing scraper (the bug doesn't sound too difficult to locate), but for the second part of the project, I'm proposing to just rewrite the entire scraper in perl. I'd write the code so that any parameters you need to set can be set in config files, and since the file is a script you would implicitly have access to the source code (there's no need for compilation of code, since scripts are interpreted). You'd also own the source code too. I can't see the website you're scraping (it's currently under maintenance), and I have no idea of the kind of data you're trying to extract there, so my bid is just based on the effort required in previous similar projects (web scraping is a large part of my day job). If the page(s) you're scraping are fairly well organized and the data can be systematically extracted, and the pages are not ajax driven, then I can complete these kinds of projects usually within 24 to 48 hours, with any number of bug fixes thereafter.
