Hello, We are looking a ZFS specialist for TrueNAS (prefer Scale). We have setup a 2 drive Mirror NVMe setup which we want to provide to an VMWare ESXi host through iSCSI. The NVMe drives can do 3.500/3.300 MB/s. speeds, but we get nowhere near that speed. Especially not on iSCSI. Both server have dual 10GB/s NIC option. This project is about figuring out the issue and setting ZFS and TrueNAS up to perform normal. Any questions, please ask

Hi nice to meet you. I can help you with troubleshooting. Starting with the iSCSI connection and the network in the virtual switches. First you have to check if the local transfer rate (TrueNAS storage) is reaching the expected speed. Then the rest is reviewed. Is the storage physical or virtual? Regards

Hi. I need more information to determine the source of the issue. What brand are the servers, VMware and FreeNAS, what model are the NICs, PCIe slot for each of them, switch model/brand you're using, VMware license type. I won't charge you the same if with the information you provide I determine in my opinion your setup is not going to be able to perform as you require. I will support my findings with technical documented information
