Fix Textarea Markdown Problem

I am using 'SimpleMDE' for a text area creation and update (which is then stored in mysql). This seems to work fine. Here is the code: <link rel="stylesheet" href="[login to view URL]"> <script src="[login to view URL]"></script> <textarea id="desc_textarea" name="desc" cols="55" rows="15"><?php echo $desc ?></textarea> var simplemde = new SimpleMDE({ element: [login to view URL]("desc_textarea") }); However, for simple display only I use 'Marked' (following advice previous advice) as follows: <div id="content" class="gs311" style="position:relative; width:auto; margin-left:10px;"></div> <script src="[login to view URL]"></script> <script>[login to view URL]('content').innerHTML = marked('<?php echo nl2br($dispdesc); ?>');</script> This works fine except that if a line break has been created using the return key on creation or update, none of the text is subsequently displayed in display only mode by 'Marked'. If I update and take out the line break the text displays correctly again. I need to get either 'Marked' to display the line breaks created by the return key, or maybe should get a different markdown renderer. Just need this problem fixed.
