Develop a Mac Application

Ok so the goal is to go .ai>>export .dwg or dxf>> Extrude Xmm on the vertical >> export as .STL --- I have hundreds of these designs to make, so an automated process is worth taking time to figure out instead of doing it manually. It can either pull a file from a folder, or export all object paths open in illustrator. I am open to using alternatives, but as of now I have downloaded - Adobe Illustrator CC, ExtendScript, Automator & AppleScripts, OpenSCAD, SketchUP. What I would like is for a script to be created, and walk through the installation and execution of it with me.
