We are starting a new micro-brewery in Southern California that will be called ARTIFEX BREWING COMPANY. Artifex is a latin word meaning "artisan and or craftsman". We see it as a term that represents a product or service that is made and crafted by hand, which is what we will be doing at the brewery. These are just a few of the basic ideas that the partners of the company have been throwing around: Rustic Old world Crafted/craftsman Simplistic Timeless Artisan Tools Handmade Ocean Beach We have seen a trend amongst the partners of liking logos that are black and white (open to color options as well), lots of detail (not cartoonish), and relatively simple. A few logos of other bars and breweries that we like are "Iron Fire Brewing Co.", "The Lost Abbey", "Our Brewing Co", "Redwood Coffee House", "Restaurant Conat", "Ballast Point Brewing Co", "Flying Pig Yaletown", "The Blind Monk Wine Bar and Tapas", etc......
