Simulate the behaviour and investigate the performance of a component used in architectural applications.
To this end the component chosen to complete this task is a glass pane used in a house window, a shop display window, a high rise building, a bus shelter etc… under extreme wind (gale force) loading.
a) A section describing the problem including geometry of the model and the nature of the analyses performed.
b) A section describing the FE models, which will include type of element used, model size and material properties.
c) Hardcopies of the final meshes showing BC’s and typical applied load (where applicable).
d) A summary of FE results for all the cases analysed.
e) Selected hardcopies of deformed/mode shapes and contour plots or listed results of some relevant stress.
f) A section detailing any hand calculations with due attention to detail as regards units.
g) A section dealing with a comparison of results and comments as appropriate.
h) A conclusion section
Must be written in a report style and Consist of:-
TASK ONE
a) Geometric modelling
b) Element choice and meshing
c) Material modelling
TASK TWO
Mesh Convergence
Task 3: Sensitivity Study
Must be done in ANSYS. For those who know how to use ansys i know that this is not very difficult project. Should take around 3 days to complete.
d) Loading and boundary conditions:
Hello, I'd worked with FEA on Electrolux and there one of my jobs had been done FEA from a glass lid used on oven. Your requirements are clear than it will be simple to produce a great report.
Let me help you,
Sincerely.
I have 10 years experience in ANSYS and structural analysis. I have a solid background in mechanical engineering with a bachelor's and master's degree from a premier Indian institute.
I have extensively worked on projects with documentation requirements similar to yours. Please have a look at my profile and send me the model and associated loads. I will carry out the analysis along with mesh convergence study.
Dear Sir,
If you provide us the necessary inputs and other information, then we could be in a position to quote you until we can't proceed. FYI we are an company in the same industries from 1 decade visit us at vayu-engineering com
Hi...
I can execute them in ANSYS WORKBENCH...
based on your posting i have bid the project.
Effective efforts can be evaluated only after studying the model.
Thanks,
Sathish
