During each of those projects I quickly assessed their Active Directory environments, built a plan to achieve our goals then executed that plan. I would start by reviewing your DNS configuration, the DNS servers that the domain controllers are using and verify network connectivity on the appropriate network port (to ensure there are no internal firewalls blocking communication). I would estimate that I should have a solution identified by the second day and pending your approval have it implemented by no later than the third day.
