Web Based Data Entry

Brief Description ----------------- Data entry for web based app. Includes getting artist/venue information off their website and entering it into our system via forms. Also includes adding events of when artists are performing at venues. Full Description ---------------- We are an online directory of artists, venues (bars, clubs, etc.) and events. We are looking for help to get more information listed on our site. You can checkout our site at undergroundmusicguide.com. In order to Add Content you must login. Simply click "Add Content" at the bottom of the page and then choose the type of content you want to add. YOU CAN GO THROUGH THE STEPS BUT PLEASE DO NOT SAVE ANYTHING. Please give a quote of how much it would cost to add 150 events, 50 clubs, 20 artists. You will go through the artists on our website and visit their websites/myspace pages to see if they have any events that we don't have listed that are in the US. If they do you will add the event via our "Add Event" form. In order to add an event the venue they are playing at must be in our system (we already have the majority of the major venues in the US). If the venue is not in our system you will search the web for information on the venue and add it into our system. From visiting their website you will enter all the information that you are able to find. Most of the information on step 1 & 2 of the form should be retrieved. For the description you can copy it off of their website. If they don't have a description put "Live Music Venue". We are rarely able to get any information for step 3 so you can usually just skip this step. If their website does have information though, you will need to enter it. At a later time someone will call the venue to get the missing information and to get permission to use graphics from the venue's website in our directory. In addition to finding clubs/events to add by searching out site, we will email you with a list of clubs we would like added. About half the clubs will be provided to you this way, the other half will be from you searching artist websites. For adding artists, we will provide you a list of websites of artists we would like you to add. You will visit the website and get information off of their website to enter into our site. In the list I will also indicate which albums to add for the artist. Typically artists have either no albums, or just 1 or 2. Some artists have several albums, and if they do you will need to enter info for all of them. You don't need to enter the length of the songs, but you will need to enter each song on the album. Basically what this means is most artists go pretty fast, but some of them can take a while if they have several songs. After you've added an artist you will then add their events (also a method for finding venues to add). Please also indicate what styles of music you listen to and how in depth your knowledge of that style of music is. Please indicate if you have basic Photoshop knowledge (not necissary, but we might have extra work) and if you are able to make phone calls to the US (not necissary, but if you are able to we would like to call the venues to confirm information. If you are able to please indicate the additional charge for calling a venue.). Please indicate if you are an individual or if you are a company how large your company is. If you are able to break it out into how much you would charge for the venus, artists and events please do. If things work out well we would like to setup a monthly quota of events/clubs to be added for your team to work on. After you've finished the first set and have a better idea of the job we can discuss a quote for a monthly basis.
