Greetings! Although I am new to Freelancer, I have garnered a 5-star rating on Odesk (another freelance website) because I pride myself on quality. I am a new junior/senior high school English teacher using Freelancer to make extra money during the summer when school is not in session. I am a native English speaker and have tutored university students in the subjects of English, literary analysis, and literary theory; about half of my time tutoring was spent proofreading/editing papers ranging from academic research to works of creative writing. Before this, I worked for an answering service as both the trainer and an operator. I would take calls, listen to the customer, and take detailed messages in a quick manner for the answering service's clients. Detail was a must (as was correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.) I also worked for a technology company that marked up digital patent applications for XML. Speed and accuracy were the matrices that were tracked.
