AR Mobile App for Educational Purposes

I am in need of a skilled developer to bring my vision to life: an augmented reality mobile application for both iOS and Android platforms. Key aspects of the project are: - Development of AR Features: The app should center primarily around marker less image recognition and tracking AR. Just think to something like ArtiVive. The app beahviour should be very similar, no complex user interactions are required. The images to be recognised should be 10. This could be a web app or a native app to be published on mobile stores. The app should support two languages for both menus and videos to reproduce when the target images are recognised. Ideally this could be the raw structure of the app: - splash screen at start. - opens the camera for target acquisition with a viewfinder on the screen. - when the image is recognised the viewfinder will fade out and the video playback will start, a "record button" will appear letting the user record a small clip (please refer to Artivive for an example) - each image has two connected videos: one main video that should be reproduced on top of the image, and another transparent video (recorded with green screen) that should be placed near the main video. The main video may have two versions: one in English and one in Italian. The language should be detected automatically according to the device system language but the user should have the option to change it. If the device system is in Italian the main video should have Italian audio, if not (eg, every other case) the audio is in English. In order to reduce the file size it could eventually be possible to have one video and two different audio tracks (or external .mp3 audio file) anyway sync is mandatory. Even the second transparent video must be in sync with the main video. Also the transparent video has two versions: an Italian version and an international (eg every other language) version. The version should be loaded according to the selected language. - there always must be an icon on the screen to let the user open a contextual menu: the menu will pop up from the side (or the bottom if in portrait mode) of the screen. There should be always two icons: one will leads to the main menu, the second will hide the second transparent video. Also when the target images is recognised (eg, if the user opens the menu during the video playback) a third icon will leads to infos about the recognised image. - the main menu will be accessible once the user has used the specific icon. These are the menu voices: -- Start the experience (will open the camera and get back to the image acquisition) -- About the artworks (a section with 10 more menu voices, each voice will open a page with information about each of the recognised image, this is the same page that will be opened when the user click the contextual icon during the video playback, each page will have an jpeg of the image, a video play button that will reproduce the video associated with the image, and some text) -- About the location (a page with info about the location, text) -- About the project (a page with info about the project, text) -- A guide (very simple instructions on how to use the app) Even the menu and the text contents of the pages should be in Italian (for Italian users) and English (for every other language users) The app could be web app (no app to install for the users) or native app. In case of native app, it would be preferable to give the option for an offline experience, basically preloading the multimedia contents, or online experience with streaming media (in order to minimise the app size). Also a previous version fully functional (missing only the recording feature) has already been released and is available on the stores (android and iOS) as reference. It has been developed with Unity and Vuforia plugin, but other solution could be evaluated, also the web (no app) solution as already mentioned. All the videos and text contents are already be prepared in multilingual. The average video size (for main videos) is about 30/40mb. The transparent videos are about 15mb. - Purpose-Driven AR: The image recognition AR is intended specifically for educational purposes. This should inform the design and interactive possibilities of the app. The ideal freelancer will have experience in AR app development and a keen understanding of educational content delivery. Experience with both iOS and Android platforms is desired. Ability to work creatively within these parameters is a must.
