I have about 100 instances of MSSQL 2000 i need to migrate to 2016. there are also about 20 sql server agent jobs that need to be migrated. I need a script or a process to do this since it will need to be done several times ( test, dev, production) Please let me know your experience migrating MSSQL 2000 and the environment needed to test.

document all dbs, create 2008r2 instance, write a parameterized script to backup dbs , restore to 2008r2, backup 2008r2 dbs, restore to 2016, log errors if any, smoke test. Separate estimate for jobs. Relevant Skills and Experience migrations for Disney, TV Guide, Bank of America, Ria Financial. SQL Server Guru - tons of work with the community on SQL Saturdays, user groups. MS Partner. Teach databases in CSUN and UCLA. Proposed Milestones $30 USD - all together. Additional Services Offered $50 USD - create a maintenance plan for new dbs will be happy to do it for you - not just provide the script. Jobs need to be reviewed as they might include elements not easily up-gradable and will have their own estimate if they include more than sql syntax.
