Search Engines/Directories & Sort Results

I need a program that will enable me to simultaneously go through a variety of search engines and directories, extracting and organizing the results. The closest program I have found to what I need is Arelis [login to view URL] . which I have been using for a couple of months. Arelis will search a dozen or so engines and directories with the search term (as an example) "automobile add url" and produce mediocre results or I would probably just continue using that software. However, if I limit the search term to "add url" it will product thousands of results. One example of what I need would be to search for pages containing automobile + add + url. I would do this because I am looking for an automobile related site that not only has a LINKS page but probably is soliciting reciprocal link partners; thus the "add url" word combination. Another combination that I might use could be "flower + submit + site". The word combinations would vary but, hopefully, you get the idea of what I&'m doing, or trying to do, with Arelis. Not knowing much about programming limitations for this type of project might mean that I am over-estimating what is possible to accomplish (as described below) or, conversely, I may be grossly underestimating what is possible and you may be able to really impress me with your capabilities. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. Here is what I think I want in my program: 1. Search ability through Google (using my I.E. browser so they don&'t ban me), Yahoo, ODP, etc., so that I can search on something like "add url" or "submit site" and easily come up with a couple of thousand sites containing these key words. A thousand found today would seamlessly be added to those found in previous searches. I can do that now with Arelis BUT I have to then go through a thousand or more sites categorizing them. Not practical. 2. Take the results obtained by searching on "add url" (or whatever) and have the program sort and categorize and store the results on my computer. Possibly by ODP categories but, more likely, by key words from META tags, titles, text links, whatever would make sense of the results and with an interface or format that would not overwhelm a novice. At that point we could have someone go through the results manually, deleting dead wood. Perhaps a checkbox to indicate if that site had previously responded to my request to exchange links would be nice. I need to be able to access the results in an organized way so that if I am looking for reciprocal link partners in the automobile field then I would be able to cull from my many thousands of url&'s in my database, those that are potential link partners. 3. As a plus, it would be very nice to have displayed with the url, title, description, etc. the first five email addresses that the program would find on the site so that I don&'t have to waste time looking for a valid email address. We view every site before mailing them so anything that saves us a few minutes on a step becomes a valuable addition to the program. 4. I&'m assuming that I would have to use these results along with Arelis (or something similar) to record what sites have been visited, actually send them an email, etc. but if you can add those features it would be a plus for you. Arelis does all of these things for $99.00 except categorize or enable a key word search of the results. They have a free trial download if you&'d like to examine it. I&'m not overly concerned with a fancy interface or even having all the features of Arelis except as described above. 5. Common sense tells me you will probably need a couple of weeks to develop this. The immediate needs of my business (guilty of innocently over promising results) would incline me to give the edge to a programmer who can deliver sooner rather than later. 6. All of the usual additions to my specifications apply such as insuring this program will actually run on my Windows XP Pro computer and, hopefully, on Win 98 and Windows ME and the fact that I probably have not touched on some key issues of function and practicality should be touched on by you before we begin the project.
