Summary of Role As part of DAS & SCADA Department and reporting to Global Asset Manager (GAM) DAS & SCADA Director, the summary of the main functions included are:   Senior Software Developer will be in charge of architecture definition, software development, testing and validation of SW solutions needed in order to better process and distribute performance information. The solutions will be mainly based on information sources as OSIsoft PI based, IBM Maximo or similar CCMS and other SQL DB’s with operative information.   Solutions required will cover fields as maintenance analysis, artificial intelligence and learning, data quality processing, KPIs automation and others. Key Duties &Responsibilities   This individual will be responsible for the following tasks:   Gather business requirements for new SW tools, prioritize and validate aligned with GAM DAS & SCADA Director and aligned with business strategy. For the tools to be developed in house, define the SW architecture, deciding the programming language, information sources and output repository With the equations, calculations, definitions and examples provided by stakeholders, write the code corresponding to the required features. Administer and maintain the set of tools created, ensuring they are scalable in the long term requiring minimum specialized maintenance and [login to view URL] & Experience Technical Background; Engineering Degree, or equivalent, Telecommunications or IT are preferred. Minimum experience of 8 years as SW developer Deep knowledge of main programming languages used for data analysis and processing: R, Mathlab, Python or similar Expert on visual programming language as Labview or similar Expertise on web focused scripting languages: Java, .Net, php or similar. Deep knowledge and vast experience working with different all the range of SQL solutions. Experience interfacing PI Systems will be highly valued. Experience in power generation industry highly preferred. Able to work in English (written and spoken) as part of multinational teams based in multiple remote locations. Experience on several of the most common SCADA solutions: Wonderware, ABB, Emerson, InduSoft, etc, and its interface with OSIsoft PI System. Knowledge of standard communication security rules and procedures, encryption, tunneling, SSH. The individual filling this position would ideally have the following skills and experience.
