Hello! probably this is a problem of slow mysql queries. I think you have a VPS or dedicated server? Then there are a lot of things which we could optimize. We can tune up the mysql server (or switch to mongodb) and enable query logging for some time. If you have just webspace, they will be not much what you can do on your side.. But on a VPS / Dedicated Server, i can fix this problem and speed up your site. Regards.

Hi, Major things that are in need to speed up magento are db optimization, full control of cache management and enabling compression. Hi, From your description what I believe the issue is in the backend. There should be some slow queries that should be causing the slowness. I have had past experiences in MySQL/postgres query tuning. My experiences are from a MySQL service based startup company where they would push you between different technologies.
