Part-time Job - C Programming and Linux Shell

The first phase of this job involves manipulating a legacy C code written for 32 bit machines and compile it on 64 bit machines. You will work closely with a software developer familiar with the code to navigate you through the source code. This is a short sprint (2 weeks) which is meant to test you and your technical capabilities. Looking for a freelancer, proficient in C programming and Linux Shell. This is a science code which is being adopted for a start-up in technology. Once the first phase is complete, we will be starting the second phase which will involve manipulating the code to deliver measurable results. In that phase you will be required to automate the code on a condor platform. The scripts for this are also available but your job will be to manipulate these automation scripts to meet the requirements of the new measurements. You will be accompanied by a software developer who is familiar with the automation scripts. This is the main phase and will require bulk of the time (estimated 3 months max). Your recruitment for this phase will depend on your performance for phase 1. The third phase is a technology phase. You will be led by another developer who is familiar with new application of the code in order to manipulate the science code for technological purposes. At this phase, there will likely be more than one developer on the job (dependent on how much time you put on the project). Our current estimate is that this phase will take another 3 months. The scope of the technological application of the code is currently being mapped. Your recruitment for this phase will depend on your performance in phase 1 and 2.
