I would like to convert a 137-year-old book (112 pages) into a text document like MS Word. The book has been scanned to pdf. I have attached two scans of the book in case one file is easier to work from than the other. My attempts to convert the pdf document to a text document using OCR software were unsuccessful because the conversion process introduced many errors that must be corrected manually. I think this is because I am using low-quality OCR software, because the scan quality is low, and because the font that was used is difficult to read. I wrote an OCR code that extract the blood pressure test result from the device screen. but the issue is that the OCR read them and print them as on number. see the attached images. The code should be in PYTHON. I used EasyOCR P.S.: If the result is : 99 99 99 (2digits) it will read it successfully. If the result is : 999 99 99 (3digits) it will read it wrong. If the result is : 99 999 99 (3digits) it will read it wrong.

I have used OCR software to convert a scanned pdf document into a MS Word document. The MS Word document contains a lot of errors as a result of the OCR conversion process. Errors include: extra spaces, jumbled words, m’s shown as rn, quotations shown as 2 apostrophes, etc. Those errors need to be corrected manually so that the MS Word document is identical to the original pdf document.
