Fix errors on Live Chat PHP WebSockets

Hello,
My Website is made in PHP. I have a Live Chat System that people can talk to each other in real time.
This Chat is made in PHP Websocket + Javascript.
The system works fine in general, however i have 3 errors that i need to fix:
1 - The WebSocket is not working in SSL
we use: ws:// for http, and wss:// for https, but its not working.
2 - If we enter on the chat in firefox and reload sometimes, the chat creates new connection for each reload, but is not closing these connection after. The same happens if we open multiple tabs on google chrome. It's not a problem to create new connections but we need to close them after inactive.
3 - We have another problem that sometimes some users can't see what they are talking, only the other people. I have step by step how to reproduce this bug, i can explain later.
