Simple and clean redesign / tweak of a newsfeed layout

With this project we are researching [url removed, login to view] to see what we can find of talented web designers. We are developing a simple web service. The functionality is almost finished, but we would like input regarding the current design. Since this is just a test project. you will only tweak/redesign one of the pages of the web service - a news feed that we will provide to you.
You are in charge, but we don't expect a full redesign unless you think it it necessary. We fancy clean, minimalistic and trendy designing like for instance what you find on [url removed, login to view] or mailchimp.com.
We prefer bids from individuals with passion for design.
