1 we have to many http requests
2. there are tomanny javeascript int he theme and the code must be cleaned and optimized
3 we have aproblem with s3 for our images. the theme does not work toghter with it. so this need to be fixed.

If you are a new freelancer. We are open to talk but we will not make any milestone unless we see real result. the rest: we create a first milestone of 30. this is to fix the featured image problem.
The featured image problem is not a wordpress or server problem . It is 100% sure a theme problem. SO if you think it is a wordpress problem do not bother.
How you fix this all is up to you , but you have to explain it in front before you get the job.
at the end we must have a fast clean theme that works with amazon s3 images.
updating and optimizing this theme is an aption but if ou want to recreate the theme that is another option. we use peepso and woocommerce and mycred.
