I need help with writing about 3 hierarchical recursive query using either stored procedure or any other approach

I have tables with hierarchical permission. For example:
Parent Folder/Child Folder /GrandChild Folder
if a user has permission to read the Parent Folder then the user should have read on Grand Child regardless of what is in Child Folder. The data is stored in different tables in a hierarchical manner. I need somebody to write a stored procedure or use some other mechanism to show which folder the user has access to. We need to limit the result so we can show paging.
