WHEN NOT TO BID
If you never developed a java application, don't bid.
If you are just going to outsource the job to someone else, don't bid.
HOW TO BID
when you bid, please mention the url of your web page
where your apps are that I can try.
It is important for me to see that you have written code, before.
PRINCIPLES ONLY
I don't want to hire people who hire other people, that
defeats the purpose of building up a development team.
PRICE
Please do not bid above the given range for the project (you will be ignored!).
DEADLINES
Please be realistic about your deadline.
Allocate as much time as you think you need.
After the deadline passes, I just raise a dispute and cancel the project (too many bad freelancers out there that waste my time!).
BONUS
I award a BONUS for projects done early.
TEAMBUILDING
If I can find that I can continue to work with you, there will be more work available, later. This is just a "getting to know you phase".
The input can be formulated with any stock ticker symbol. For example, the symbol: "AUDC" becomes:
[login to view URL]
this shows the key-statistics. Your program will input this symbol and output the html containing the key statistics. I can parse the stats. I just got a little stuck on getting the html.
public static String getOneBigUrlString(URL url) throws IOException {
BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new
InputStreamReader([login to view URL]()));
Vector v = new Vector();
String line;
while (null != (line = [login to view URL]()))
[login to view URL](line);
String s[] = new String[[login to view URL]()];
[login to view URL](s);
return [login to view URL](s);
}
public static String getOneBigString(String s[]) {
StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
for (int i = 0; i < [login to view URL]; i++)
[login to view URL](s[i] + '\n');
return [login to view URL]();
}
does not work, anymore (not on yahoo finance, anyways). There is a TON of javascript in there!
Show that you have read this descriptions by bidding along with a statement:
