Design a warm logo for the Solar Energy Society of Alberta

We have received feedback that our image is out-of-date, and are seeking to undertake a re-brand of the organization, this will start with a logo. --> We need a logo and to know what font was used.
The organization is quasi-governmental. Both Grassroots and institutional. Works to educate the public, provide educational classes, serve professionals, students, and works with the provincial government. [login to view URL]
- a stand-alone symbol is important.
- SESA and Solar Energy Society of Alberta should not both be in a logo at the same time.
- Being specific, and not limiting ourselves: Not just PV cells not using outline of alberta because its limiting.
- Being too plain, or too corny:
Colors should symbolize, trust, warmth, energy, passion.
What we are looking for is:
- Logo should symbolize what we do, so that it can be recognized on its own.
- Useful images “Sun, Power, Cooperation, Improvement”
We represent many topics all related to solar energy. solar panels, solar thermal heating, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, climate change, policy, community action, social change, and social justice.
- Some representation of Alberta, as we are the Solar Energy Society of Alberta.
Should not limit us to Alberta, and preferably something that represents Alberta’s
unique contribution to the fight against climate change.
