Requirements:

• The writing is required to motivate and encourage potential customers to purchase products due to the way the description is written and the information provided. While marketing speak must be employed as part of this writing process, it is of vital importance that the description contains lots of useful and content rich information for the potential customer. The goal here is to produce both content rich descriptions and best practice conversion writing to both improve the customer experience and improve our Google quality score for organic ranking purposes.

• The approved applicant will be responsible entirely for adding, editing and deleting products that the business markets, hence the need for accuracy, speed and attention to detail including an understanding of SEO to develop relevant SEO-friendly descriptive text and content for each and every product.

• An understanding of ON-SITE SEO is essential as each product that is added requires different grammatical text and form and no duplication so as to be seen as being SEO friendly. Each product although similar in many ways must have their individual description text to avoid SEO penalty for duplication by Google and others. The successful applicant must have a fundamental understanding of the importance of this aspect of the task.

• It is imperative that the successful candidate understands what content authority is and how powerful it is for SEO organic traffic purposes.

• The successful candidate knows that every description must be not only rich in content and information, but also must be unique. Each description has to be written as original text from scratch and as such will be owned by the company and protected by copyright laws.

• The writing should include best practices in search optimisation and therefore it is expected that the successful candidate has significant expertise and understanding in this area.

• Each product description will require 300-500 words of original text that are created by reading and learning about the product/s from technical information provided by the product manufacturer and distributor websites. It is imperative that the content created is unique and not in any way copied directly or plagiarised.

• Exceptional web research skills are required so that relevant information for particular products can be accessed so that the writer can then formulate descriptions using such information as a guideline.

• Excellent data entry skills with at least two years hands on experience will be required.

• The successful applicant will need web research skills to research competitors pricing and content to making an alteration to our content so that it becomes more favourable to our target audience.

• The successful applicant will need to have an expert understanding of Microsoft Excel and have the ability to create mathematical, algorithmic formulas to create accurately advertised pricing to be entered and linked to the relevant product.
