I am looking to update a client's Wikipedia page with an updated biography but am faced with two problems when uploading myself. 1. Wikipedia's conflict of interest rules strongly discourage editing with a conflict of interest, and 2. promotional editing on behalf of an artist is not permitted.

The creator of the Wiki page has edited back the previous entry each time I try to upload an updated biography because of the above.

I am looking for somebody with Wikipedia legal expertise who can help me overcome this issue.
