Reality: Josh

Manager Evaluation:

The past year has been a challenging one for Josh. Josh has shown at times the ability to perform the tasks at hand but has also displayed some laps if not closely monitored. During my tenure with Josh we did establish a performance plan due to a critical work finding that could have been a major issue for the firm. Josh did show some improvement in areas, but also showed that constant oversight was required. Feedback from previous managers is that Josh’s focus was not always on the job, but more about the social aspect of work. The dedication and focus to work at hand is what could have made the year an improved one. Timely escalation for assistance / help if needed is something Josh needs to understand and act upon as he continues his career here at <COMPANY>. Lastly, learning more about the role you perform is critical to future success.

Overall, Josh’s contributions this year were inconsistent. I believe Josh has the ability to turn this around if he puts his focus into learning his job or understanding a different role he may be more comfortable in.
