I would like a detailed drawing of the character. I do not want anything cartoonish or anime-like. I encourage creative interpretation, however, attention to detail will be the key to winning the contest, please include all of the provided details. The only exception that may be allowed is the tattoo due to the level of detail and described placement. Obviously anyone who can get it in there looking good will be a leg up on the competition. Please refer to the included images for guidance and inspiration. The winner of the contest will be referred to the rest of the large nerd group who also want drawings commissioned.

- Male Dwarf, leaner than normal but still muscular. Lived in the desert, was previously a slave.
- His hair was once fiery red, but has been lightened by years in the blazing sun which makes it now more akin to the color of the muted red sands of the desert dunes.
- His hair is pulled back to stay out of his face in the form of a single, thick braid.
- His beard is woven in several intertwining braids.
- His clothing is made from a variety of the hearty leathers of various desert creatures, adorned with a single cockatrice feather that hangs around his neck (reference images of cockatrice). Please make the feather distinct and unique, so it isn't confused with a regular bird feather.
- He wears no shoes, his feet are calloused from years of walking in the harshest natural environment.
- No headwear or antlers or anything else typically found on druid drawings.
- Has a "magical" tattoo on his left inner forearm of an air elemental (reference elemental image). The tattoo does not need to be exactly like the image provided, but of a similar style and aesthetic.
- He has a wooden shield made of Snakewood (a real wood from Australia). It is reddish brown, with contrasting darker brown or black patches like a snake pattern (reference provided images). The shield has no discernible edges or seams indicative of being crafted. It appears as one solid piece, as if it naturally grew in the shape of a shield, with the arm fitting and hand hold appearing as branches or roots woven together in the exact shape needed to be a perfect fit for his arm.
- He also has a spear that is a perfect match to the shield in texture and color, and similarly without any signs of being cut or crafted. The shaft is perfectly straight with the exception of the handholds, which are shaped by perfectly placed knots and hollows that conform to the grip of the wielder. The tip appears as though it is crafted from the the darkest obsidian in the shape of an agave leaf (reference provided image). To also function as a walking stick and blunt weapon, the base of the spear terminates in what resembles a large, perfectly proportioned knot.

After reviewing Alexandr's submission I realize that having the feather around his neck may be a challenge to execute in a clean way. Having the feather presented in another way (on the spear, attached to an article of clothing, lower on his body, etc.) will be acceptable.

I understand this takes time and effort, neither of which I want to waste for you guys. What I have in mind is along the lines of what you will see if you do a Google search for "D&D concept art" or an image search for "D&D characters".

Hello everyone, thank you for your interest. To answer the questions and comments all at once: I am ok with any format as long as it looks clean, I think I may favor a traditional drawing, but that will be determined by the submissions I suppose. Color or concept art sketch are both acceptable. For those that would like guaranteed, please refer me to previous works. I am fine with guaranteeing the contest and perhaps increasing the prize if I know the talent warrants it. I don't want to guarantee a prize only to pick the shiniest turd, if you know what I mean. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
