I am currently finishing up my memoir. For this body of work, I've poured hours into crafting this personal narrative, so now I need the keen eye of a skilled proofreader who specializes in memoirs.

Key Details:
- The manuscript is less than 50,000 words.
- I require thorough proofreading for typos, grammar errors, punctuation errors, and other inconsistencies.

Ideal Candidate:
- You should be a detail-oriented professional who can positively contribute to enhancing the readability of my memoir.
- Prior experience in proofreading memoirs will be a significant plus.
- A solid understanding of the memoir genre is desirable.
- Excellent command over English spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

    I propose, as others have already proposed, that the contest holder uploads at least a section of the text that needs to be proofread. There is no better way to choose the best freelancer for the job than seeing what they can actually do in practice, and especially so if you see it done on your own material.

    Barring this, you will have to take the contestants' word for their own skills, more or less. I have made an entry highlighting my experience, work ethics and attitude toward the written word, but I would much prefer proving my skills by doing an actual excerpt from the memoir. I am sure the majority of participants in this contest share the same attitude.

    Also, I would suggest making the contest sealed in this case, since I have seen a LOT of plagiarism in contests. Especially so if you start rating the entries before the contest has ended - this makes many contestants attempt to copy or emulate the entries that got a good rating.
