VERY IMPORTANT:

Please read this brief description of our project all the way to the end before you start working on the design. This is very important so that you do not waste your time on designs which will be immediately rejected:

We are developing a restaurant concept which is quite unique in that the restaurant is a unique artistic statement. All the furniture including chairs and tables will be works of art in their own right. We will also have sculptures and art installations throughout the restaurant. All the art installations/pieces are modern art works. The whole restaurant is designed in black and white including the floors, the walls and the furniture. So the logo has to be in black and white as well. The name of the restaurant is L&#039;Objet D&#039;Art Cafe (a French name for The objects of art cafe).

We are looking for a creative and clever interpretation of the above.

We kindly request that you:

-- PLEASE DO NOT submit typical designs like a coffee cup, a coffee cup with smoke, or a paint palette or just a normal fork and knife unless there is a creative twist to it.

The design needs to provoke thought and make the person think wow that's a clever design of a logo because of the creative twist to it.

UPDATE: We respectfully ask you NOT to post or send comments asking us to make the contest guaranteed. We are very aware of this feature and that we can make the contest guaranteed, but we don't want to make it guaranteed because we want to make sure that we like the designs being submitted. You can see from my profile that we have awarded contests to winners before so there is no risk of us taking your design and not paying for it. To show you the reason why we didn't make it guaranteed, the contest has been open for less than 30 minutes and we have already rejected 4 designs which do not meet our brief. They are actually designs of things that we asked contestants NOT TO SUBMIT such as forks and knives and cups of coffee.
