I have written a children's book and I'm looking for a designer to illustrate using soft colors and child preferences. The winning designer will receive the work for the rest of the pages, total of 10. I will work closely with the designer on ideas and direction, but looking for someone with custom creativity to bring to the table. I will be publishing this book. I will disclose the first line text. The title I will share in a direct message for those who request it upon submission. Font selection as part of the design will be critical. This book will be published.

In the world of a lullaby, so much can be heard
Like the sound of I love you or a baby's first word.

I have included several examples of the look and feel I am looking for. This will be unique, so of course you don't have to use this same style, but the look is important.

Example 1: I like the overlay of patterns to make up the picture. The whimsical nature of the color palate is very interesting.
Example 2: Overall, the watercolor makes a very attractive children's book. Utilizing disappearing edges as if a brush stroke I like, using the page and white contrast to form areas for the text. I am open to color mixes, but no primary colors or hard colors please.
Example 3: This whimsical look is very nice. Notice specifically her hair and the way the ribbons are blowing in the wind.
Example 4: Watercolor use of white space, unique look, almost fairytale.
Example 5: I love what the artist did here, and would love this same look throughout the book. Makes for a very unique and intriguing concept. may be difficult to do digitally, but very interesting!
Example 6: Like this look a lot. Notice the way the trees are. Not just graphics of trees, very whimsy
Example 7: I like the art nouveau look and could be incorporated with color. I am open to very fantastic rendition of reality with color added in. Search art nouveau for examples.
Example 8: Fantastic look and color choices.
Example 9: importance of the selection of font. Please don't use any of the typical fonts preinstalled on a computer. Make it more whimsical!

oh, I forgot ask you .What kind of the page illustration size is? What kind of orientation is? Is it album orientation? Or book orientation? From this depends all design concept. Thank you in advance for your soonest reaply.

Dear contest holder, how wonderful your project is! I've read the description and saw attached files. Amazing! I have some ideas and I will be very glad to take part in your amazing project! In order to propose you right design please specify what final format files do you need? Is it only digital drawings? Or do you prefer hand drawing with watercolor, ink etc. I can draw hand draw illustration according to your views and scan and prepare them for the paper print. Of course I can create digital illusration for example in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe photoshop. What would you prefer? I need to specify this important moments in order to create right concept.   I am going for the look and feel of surreal and impressionistic, so whichever you feel best captivates the feel of the examples provided. I'm not sure which you would prefer or are better at using. I'm not looking for one over the other, just something that meets what the examples leads you to in a creative way! I'm open to your suggestion!

  Yes, looking for the first page to fit the first line. Something that gets the point across for the "world of a lullaby" that could take a lot of different looks and approaches. Maybe a night sky with a baby sleeping on a cloud, or in a basonette in a cool looking tree with lots of stars, etc.
