I need a professional skilled in Ansys for a basic-level project. The primary focus will be on simulating liquid fluid flow.
We need a geometry similar to a tee mixer as depicted in the provided figure. The horizontal pipe has a diameter of 100 mm, while the vertical pipes have a diameter of 40 mm each. We're dealing with a fluid with properties akin to water. The conditions for the horizontal pipe include a flow rate of 4 l/s and a temperature of 20°C, while for the vertical pipes, the flow rate is 1 l/s and the temperature is 60°C.
Tasks to be carried out:
1- Verification of Mass and Energy Balances: This involves assessing velocity, temperature, and pressure profiles within the system. Additionally, improving mesh quality using a curvature-based criterion and commenting on the results obtained.
2- Estimation of Coefficient of Variation (CoVr): We aim to blend two liquids using the tee-mixer and estimate the relative CoVr at the outlet concerning composition uniformity. This estimation will be compared with values obtained using an empirical correlation.
3- Eulerian-Lagrangian Multiphase Simulation: This simulation involves a discrete phase comprising solid particles injected from the lower of the two small pipes. We'll remove the energy balance and consider two cases with different particle densities (Case a: ρp = 500 kg/m3; Case b: ρp = 5000 kg/m3).
Please ensure you have the relevant skills and experience before bidding on this project.
