Players do not need to create a login, the moderators simply add the url to their home screen and make sure the location permissions are turned on at the start. Players race to the physical locations on the Monopoly board and when they get there taps the card representing the property and then the “Yes - I am here” button. A player goes through that and submits their form, it then sends the result to a dedicated email box. The moderators then come back to the player using the chat box bottom left with the message saying either - Congratulations You have bought the property for $60 and you have $1940 left in your banks - or, if another team has already purchased the property, Sorry you must pay rent of $2 and you have $1998 left in your bank. The platform is a wordpress site using Gravity Forms as the input. It uses a little custom code and a Google Maps API to recognise the Location Latitude and Longitude. There is one form per property. I want to replace the manual moderators role in this part of the game. I want the gravity form to link to a database. This database needs to hold the information about the property - how much it costs to buy, if it has already been bought, how much rent is and there needs to be a manual process where the moderators can award money to a players bank or take money out depending on other parts of the game. The moderators also need to be able to add houses to the property which changes the rent. The rules are exactly as Monopoly except a player cannot sell or mortgage property and there are no hotels. So when a player gets to a property and submits the form, I want automatically a message to say whether the property is for sale or not and to adjust the player bank. I want to keep this using Wordpress and Gravity Forms so that I can replicate the game for other locations.
