Shopify app with the shipping API for our company

TRINET SHOPIFY APP THE SCOPE 1. Statement • Trinet’s customer (hereafter referred to as “the vendor”) will sell product via the Shopify ecom platform. Sold product will be shipped from one or many places in Canada to destination in Canada and the USA. 2. Objective • Through the Trinet’s downloadable app on the Shopify app store, TRINET has for objective to offer a transportation rate shopping solution to the vendors as an added service to their customers (hereafter referred to as “the buyer”). • TRINET’s app should function through a popup window within the vendor’s environment (shopify). This app will be the bridge between the vendors environment and the Trinet Webapp. 3. Application functionality • The buyer selects a product from the vendors ecom and adds it to the vendors shopping cart. • The buyer clicks on the button to get the shipping option that would open the Trinet app in a contextual window within the vendors shopping cart environment. • The app will collect the shipment information from the vendors ecom platform (such as, shipping location, delivery location, size and weight of the shipment, etc) • The Trinet app will transfer that information to the Trinet Webapp via APIs. • The Trinet Webapp will then calculate the rates and return them to the Trinet App so it can be displayed on the window. • The buyer will choose their desired option that will then be sent to the vendors shopping cart to be added to the subtotal. • The vendor will then process the payment. • Once payment has passed and confirmed, the shopping cart should return a confirmation to the Trinet app that would in turn send a request for shipment to the Trinet Webapp. • The Trinet Webapp will create the shipment and return the tracking number to the Trinet app that will, in turn, provide it to the vendors shopping cart to be displayed with the purchase confirmation, email receipt or any other means they so chose.
