I am a retired physician and Assistant Professor of Family Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Yale University Medical School. I taught at the undergraduate and graduate school level for 25 years. I am currently teaching nursing Anatomy and Physiology, Calculus, and MCAT preparation. I have taught math including GED, Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
I am currently under contract to produce educational videos for a major international teaching company in Biochemistry and Genetics. I have tutored one-on-one in person, and online for almost 30 years.
I have a large touch screen monitor and a digitizing pad. I can work online using Zoom or other videoconferencing software. The student and I can hear each other and I can share a whiteboard, electronic textbook, video, pdf, Word, Excel, Powerpoint files and each other's screens.
I charge $.01 per word and I will revise my bid accordingly. I will return a copy using MS Word markup for your review. I can include minor revisions as part of a second read-through. In addition to standard grammar and wording edits, I provide readability and general usage edits. I normally scan for phrases and text that is grammatically correct, but is not in common usage, idiomatically awkward, out-dated or otherwise confusing to an American English speaker.
I can provide rapid turn-around time if you are facing a deadline.
