Ok, this is a fun project for somebody who has a creative, dirty, funny, witty and totally outrageous mind. No holds barred. The more extreme you can be, the better.
If you know some japanese that's great, but I don't think it's totally necessary. But a minimum requierment is that you speak excellent english. Otherwise it will be difficult for you to do the job.
So let me explain what I want: I'm working on a site for english speakers studying japanese. The best (in my opinion) way to memorize a lot of foreign words is to associate them with something that's familiar with you. This is called creating a "mnemonic", and is a well known memory technique. The more bizarre, crazy, creepy, outrageous, funny or strange the mnemonic is, the easier it is for the human brain to remember it. As you know it's always easier to remember something that's out of the ordinary, like an accident or when something funny happens. That's just the way our brains work.
Your job will be to come up with english mnemonics
Let me give you an example:
"Uma" is the japanese word for "horse"....So imagine the famous actress Uma Thurman (from Pulp Fiction) fucking a horse.
It's totally bizarre, right? Will you forget that word easily? NO! The association of UMA and HORSE will be ingrained in your mind for some time to come. And that's how a good mnemonic works. The crazier the better!
For every mnemonic you come up with I will pay you 1 USD. So if you come up with 50 great mnemonics I will pay you 50 USD. After your first 500 menmonics I will increase your pay to 1,5 USD per mnemonic.
Ofcourse these mnemonics will all have to be of good quality. I will not approve just any shitty mnemonic.
It's up to you to pick any japanese words you like. Also if you want I can provide you with a list of words to create mnemonics for.
Ok, are you with me so far?
If you are interested in this job I want you to think of mnemonics for these 5 japanese words.
omoshiroi = interesting
konban = tonight
mou = already
eigo = english
okashi = sweets/candy
issho = together
The point is for the student to see the mnemonic in his mind as a picture. So every script you write has to start with the word "imagine". For example: "Imagine Uma Thurman fucking a horse"

Hello, this project has my name written all over it. I'll skip all the "I'm a brilliant creative copywriter" cliche as I think my mnemonics speak for themselves. Let's squeeze the creative juices out of this project Mer
Hi, this seems like a project right up my alley. I am a screenwriter/creative writer and i am also trying to learn Vietnamese, so i know what you mean by using taglines to help remember words. I have a very creative wa Mer
