Hi Will, Gerber files do not contain any 3D part information so there is nothing to convert as far as parts are concerned. I don't know if this is hoax (nothing personal, please do not be upset) or a school work since you are not specific on the mechanical CAD you use. What I do in a situation where I need to "grow" an enclosure around the board is I simply create the board shape from scratch in SolidWorks and if needed, place 3D shapes (say, a heat sink or a connector) on the board where it matters, and start building the box. It is not photo-realistic but allows the box to be crafted to very close tolerances. Brian

Good afternoon, I have 25+ years experience in the PCB industry with 20 of them in CAD/CAM operations. I've recently returned to freelancing hence the limited reviews of my services. I am Solidworks CSWA Certified with my CSWP in progress. I own my own copy of Solidworks 2019 Professional. I'm Canadian based and speak english ... I work aggressive hours and available to work nights and weekends to get my projects completed. I can be reached at normal North American hours to discuss project parameters/issues.
