Design a Belt Tensioner for use with a Starter Generator - 27/06/2018

Note: shortlisted Freelancers will receive a detailed project brief. We are an established manufacturer of auto tensioners used with automotive accessory drive belts. We need a CAD (2D+3D) design of a new automotive belt tensioner. Several examples of different existing designs will be provided (concept pictures/diagrams/presentations but no CAD drawings). Whilst most parameters and performance specifications are available, some specific dimensions will have to be calculated based on functional requirements. The challenge is to come up with an innovative, unique design which we will use to produce a functional prototype. Last milestone is the successful production of a 3D drawing which we will use to produce the first prototype. Speed to prototype is a key consideration. Your task is to: 1) Design a demonstrably unique product 2) Provide us with detailed technical drawings and material specifications 3) Provide ongoing support as we source materials and manufacture the first prototype This is the first in a series of 3 related projects. This project would suit a person or team with experience in the auto parts industry. Success will bring ongoing engagement opportunities. Examples of previous, similar projects will be very helpful.
