Piggyback on laser show galvanometer-scanner technology to develop a microscopy application

Hi colleague-friend! We are a small high-tech firm, TIRF Labs, which is working at the cutting edge of knowledge and technologies. At the moment, we have a manually-controlled TIRF (total internal reflection fluorescence) system, which sends a laser beam into a microscope. We are using manual XY translation stage to scan the beam over a 20-mm diameter spot within the microscope. We want to piggyback on a laser show galvanometer scanner to perform similar scanning over the 20-mm spot, but using a computer-controlled system. We envision a laser scanner hardware similar to ScannerMax from Pangolin, respective drivers, other stuff, and free or inexpensive ILDA laser software to scan the 20-mm spot. We have engineering, prototyping, machining, micro manufacturing and other hi-tech capabilities in house. However, we want to piggyback on Pangolin ready-from-shelf products as much as possible. Some experience with Arduino, Raspberry and microscopy Micromanager software would be a plus, but is not critically necessary for this laser-scanner project.

This is a contractual piece of work, with a potential to transform into full-time job. We are looking for a professional, who is a self-starter, "go-getter", result-, rather than process-oriented individual.
