Twitter Mass Messaging

Dear Freelancer, please do not just write: we can do this, we can build followers etc. That is NOT what we are looking for. Please show in your reply to this project offer that you have read and understood this complex project by re-stating the task, or by asking questions about anything that might not be clear. This is a job to help filmmaker – a writer and director. Background: We have been collecting 10 thousand or more fan tweets made over the years about his films So far, we have simply been retweeting them onto an account that we control. We have all the tweets that are live on there, and also have an archive of older fan tweets. Now the filmmaker would like to start tweeting himself, from a different account. Our goal: We would like to let all the people who have tweeted positively about his films (and whose tweets are collected in the first account) that he is on twitter now personally and they should now follow him (on the second account). Does any one of you twitter experts/coders/marketing/database specialists have an plan for how this could be done? I believe twitter only lets you send a very limited number of direct messages per day – is there a way around that? Maybe by sending the direct messages to the fans from multiple purpose-built accounts? But the process would have to be automated, because, again, it's over ten thousand recipients. Each of the ten thousand original tweeters would have to receive some kind of direct message saying something along the lines of: "the director of such and such a movie is now on twitter himself! Follow him for the opportunity to win props from his movies, and to be the first to know about his upcoming projects etc." We will give you the exact phrasing before we start. Any thoughts on how this can be accomplished? If you can outline a plan, and present a budget and timeframe, we would love to hire you. Thanks, Florian73
