console i/o parser

I want a multiplatform program/script that can run a console command and control the input/output streams of the command.

I want it to have a "plugin" system.

These "plugins" tell it how to handle the i/o stream.

The following is a word concept of what I want, using minecraft as an example of use.

Example 1:

Joe says in game: #points give Jane 134

--> wrapper plugin reads text file to check admin status of Joe

--> Joe is admin

-->--> Wrapper plugin Adds 134 to the number value of ini key Jane

-->--> Wrapper plugin sends "/message jane You have been given 134 points, you now have x amount of points" to program input

--> Wrapper plugin sends "/message Joe You have given Jane 134 points, jane now has x amount of points" to console

The obvious for removing points

Jane says in game: #points

-->wrapper sends "/message Jane You have x amount of points" to program

The plugins need to be non-encoded-text files.

I need it to be able to parse an output line for certain text for the purpose of determining whether a player sent it or the program running sent it.

The plugin system needs to be very easy to use for a non-programmer.

It being multi-platform is preferred, but not required.

At minimum it must be compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7

When you download the server for testing

1. on the home page click the download option for alpha

2. Click the link for hosting your own server

3. Go down to other/mac os option and download the .jar file

4. In the command launching it pass the -nogui option

Put "nogui" (without quotes) At the end of the java command to access the cli of the minecraft alpha server
