Get deepest Selenium child element at cursor position with Python

I need to create a Python function that returns the element at the cursor position when the Ctrl button is pressed. The issue I'm having is that when I'm able to locate the element at the cursor, it only finds the outermost iframe, and not the button or link inside it. If you're able to create a function that will return the deepest child element at the cursor's position, please bid on the project and mention the words "deepest element" somewhere in your message so I know you've read the description. I've included JavaScript as a possible skill required, because although I'm creating the function in Python and Selenium I know that running Javascript within Python may be a necessary solution to accomplish this.
